One of my favorite aspects of the city, is the Rochester Public Market. Not only can you buy delicious local produce direct from the farmers – but this past week, you could see me demonstrating some bookbinding! To raise awareness and get the word out to shoppers about the upcoming Artist Row Craft show, I participated in the Artist at Work series.
I had a table of my books on display and also worked on binding a few miniature book ornaments and folded book art pieces. I had an especially great time being out in the excitement of the public market and get to talk to passerbys. I absolutely love being out in public talking to people about books!
Check out this short video from Saturday!
This will be my first time participating in Artist Row and I’m really looking forward to it. I love the energy at the market and I know it will be filled with more interesting people and inspired conversations. Look for my table at the show, Sunday September 20th, from 10-4!
